TrueNet Warranty Conditions


Test Result Requirements for an ADC KRONE Warranty

ADC KRONE requires the following for ALL test results submitted for Warranty Registration. Any warranties not submitted in this format will be returned for re-submission.

  • Full test results for all copper and fibre cable runs
  • Raw electronic results from the tester in tester format like .flw, .sdf or .mdb files
  • Full plot data enabled
  • An explanation when cables IDs are missing out of a sequence
Copper Testing
  • Acceptable test devices: Fluke DTX 1200/1800, WireScope-Pro, Lantek (Cat 6 only)
  • For Cat 6 & Cat 5, use PL Tester Limits set to ISO 11801 or AS/NZS 3080 PL max Class E or D (not TIA 568 limits)
  • For Cat 6A, use PL Tester Limit set to TIA Cat 6A Perm. Link or ISO 11801 Perm. Link
  • NVP set to 69% for Cat 6 UTP PVC & Cat 5 UTP PVC, and 65% for Cat 6A UTP PVC CopperTen
Fibre Testing
  • Acceptable test devices: Fluke DTX 1200/1800, other light source power meters.
  • Use 1 or 3 cord Test Method (Fluke Method B or C)
  • Refer to Referencing and Test Methods
  • Set LSPM fibre testers to ISO/IEC 14763-3 Test Limits
  • Use Light Source & Power Meter tests on fibres at 2 x wavelengths and in 2 x directions (OTDR results alone are not acceptable)

ADC KRONE cannot accept and cannot warrant test results,

  • In .pdf format
  • With no plot data enabled
  • With ‘FAIL’ results on copper or fibre cable
  • With ‘gains’ >0.2dB on fibre cable even if a PASS is received when testing

Compliance with all the above will speed up the review process once Warranty Registrations are received by Technical Staff.
